Why does the x2 of {kec= ti} need to be a person?  Can I not feel pity for a dog?  Simila= rly, though maybe a bit less arguable, does even the x1 need to be a "pers= on"?

kecti kec     ke'i pity     &= nbsp;           &nb= sp;            = ;        x1 (person) pities/feels= sorry for x2 (person) about x3 (abstraction)     &nbs= p;            =           4c  23 &n= bsp;  (cf. cinmo, xendo)

I don't know about other people, but I take those parenthetical commen= ts as perhaps a typical usage, but not mandatory.
