They are only marginally shorter, often harder to pronounce, compared to full "se whatever", and obscuring a "general" predicate (seeing "se bridi" in "selbri" still requires the noticeable efforts for me). But they can be quite good in the middle of a longer beasts (NUn+SEl+). Returning no "memorization" offtopic, when i used "anki", i've been trying to recall selbri + all the sumti places together, not paying too much attention to exact wording and errors in "fo/fu". "Translation" side need to be very brief (1-2 word for each sumti place). When it gets into a mind as a short sentence/picture with several "empty" slots (just like designed by language creators), it does not take too much time. -- mu'o mi'e lex
