I am writing a short story and, if you're of a mind to help me stick in a few lojban tidbits, I'd appreciate the assistance. 1) A pet, which I originally wanted to name "cloud farter" or "fart cloud" was rendered as ladilpan because I could not find a word for fart. Etymology was dilnu pensi. If there's an already constructed lujvo (or gismu I could not find) for "fart" or if I have missed something significant, I'd like to know. The "creature species name" for this pet is currently "smisfi" from smani sfani-- it is a winged monkeyish humanoid. 2) A genetically-engineered chimerical sub-species of homo sapiens have chosen a name for themselves based on their love of learning. Currently, this is Nelpei (or possibly nelpensi) from nelci pensi -- comments or suggestions no matter how whimsical are welcome. These beings have a "hard-wired" instinctual understanding of lojban, but don't get too enamored of them: they view themselves as the next step up the evolutionary ladder, and they're not altogether convinced that humankind shouldn't become extinct sooner than later. 3) sharp little appliances for the fingers to turn hands into claws: ba'eja'u (etymology notes got eaten by a grue) 4) doll? I can't find "doll," but I can find "fellatio" and "role-playing game system." Go figure. 5) zbaxum -- a miniature chemical processing and Virus/RNA/DNA manipulation tool from zbasu xukmi 6) klikwings en->lojban ? (a small hopping/flying creature with chitinous wings that makes clicking sounds for mating calls 7) steppes / arid plains en->lojban ? 8) people who end wars / noble warriors / warriors of the heart / those who suffer from war the most... Like 1) above, but these folks are the ones who are saddened by the destruction they were created to bring about. They are actually more like jesus/buddha/mohammed than warriors, and especially so when among their own. From the perspective of humankind--who are animals in the eyes of the warriors--the warrior's philosophy is relatively unimportant. en->lojban ? 8) people who were not designed by the creator guy (more of a devilish human than a god, if ya catch mah drift) en->lojban ? Thanks in advance for any aid. ko ko kurji -- From the Certified Mind of Ken Comer (never trust an uncertifiable brain) "I love America because they make great horror movies." -- an Iraqi citizen who disapproves of the occupation, but otherwise likes the USA (Source: AFP Fri Oct 31, 6:23 AM ET) ------=_NextPart_000_000B_01C3E399.CE2A83A0 Content-Type: text/x-vcard; name="Ken Comer.vcf" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="Ken Comer.vcf" BEGIN:VCARD VERSION:2.1 N:Comer;Ken FN:Ken Comer TEL;HOME;VOICE:817-468-9600 TEL;CELL;VOICE:214-802-1195 ADR;HOME:;;2308 Landshire;Arlington;TX;USA LABEL;HOME;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:2308 Landshire=0D=0AArlington, TX USA URL;HOME:http://www.kencomer.com EMAIL;PREF;INTERNET:me@kencomer.com REV:20040126T052022Z END:VCARD ------=_NextPart_000_000B_01C3E399.CE2A83A0--
