It's just that it's a hobby, and no one's getting paid to spend the kind of time that programming requires, so it naturally moves slowly. However, the more people with that ability who participate in the projects, the faster I expect the progress would be. I would dearly love to program Lojban-related software, especially for the Palm OS, but I'm not a programmer and I possess no computer science abilities. We have many who are in your field, but we need more.
