Supermemo is windows only, logflash and genius are macosx only. Are there any programs out there which are cross platform enough to handle at least windows, macosx, and linux, plus preferably the wince, palm os, and linux/qtopia handhelds? It should preferably be open source in some form for various reasons but not necessarily so. The most important thing is that it prove suitable as the default recommendation for those that wish to learn lojban so as to avoid fragmentation and duplicate effort in maintaining multiple language source files. Not to mention confusion for beginners, ie me and others on this list ;-). Regarding the use of pictures take a look at http://www.rosettastone.com/ Especially the online demo.
