In my case it's just that my primary concern is to improve my Lojban first. Your re-emphasis on the word "book" is understandable, and I won't further argue here. Involving peoples of various backgrounds and their writing activity would unquestionably be instrumental in expanding & developing the Lojbanic literature (although on-line or digital). We should also appreciate the significance of concentrating those peoples' outputs upon a collective/systematic database like Wikipedia. It'd be cool if journalists organize a daily news column in Lojban on the site as well (currently there's nothing as attractive as those features on its English counterpart). Having said that, we really better get used to that kind of on-line practice. Which is precisely why I've been emphasising such vocabularies as "username" or "main page" or "discussion". mu'o mi'e vid. ------=_Part_106927_25719134.1180363830040 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline On 5/27/07, ANDREW PIEKARSKI <totus@rogers.com> wrote:

Once again, this brings up the issue of "Whom is lojban for?"  Personally, I would like to see the involvement of:
1) more non-Europeans (although the response to my proposal to promote it in India suggests that the lojban community is not interested)
2) more psychologists, historians, journalists, accountants, racing drivers, airline pilots, farmers etc

That would suggest that "book" may still be more important than "button" (just an exmaple).

I think no lojbanist ought to say your proposal is uninteresting. In my case it's just that my primary concern is to improve my Lojban first.
