How would I say "a friend of mine" or "my friends" as a sumti? I > can say (lo prenu pendo mi) and (lo pendo) but I don't think I'm doing > it right when I say (lo pendo mi). Specifying "A x1, for which x2 is > this, x3 is that, etc" is something I'm not sure how to do, since I only > learned out how to parse it if the cmavo applies to a selbri alone, not > a whole bridi. All the examples that I can find use just (lo ) .skamyxatra Firstly, in "{lo prenu pendo mi}", the "{prenu pendo}" merge into a single {selbri}; they must be separated with "{cu}" (or "{ku}", but no one does that for style reasons). Anyway, the way to fill the places of a {selbri} within a {sumti} is with "internal {sumti}." Prefix the first internal {sumti} with "{be}", any subsequent internal {sumti} with "{bei}", and terminate the list (if necessary) with "{be'o}". For example, "a friend of mine" would be "{lo pendo be mi}", and "the one who goes to the store from home" would be "{lo klama be lo zarci bei lo zdani}" (among other possible translations). mu'omi'e la'o gy.
