Someone's name translates to "the quality of attractiveness", but happens to be homophonous with a common English name, "Katrina"; it is cute. Remember the CCL, chap. 8, section 6 ( http://dag.github.com/cll/8/6/#e10 ), explicitly permits some complex phrases in cmene; the example gives "la nanmu poi terpa le ke'a xirma" meaning "Man Afraid Of His Horse". > On Mon, 2011-10-31 at 18:34 -0600, Jonathan Jones wrote: > If you want the name "Katrina", it's {la.katrinas.}, not {la.katrina.}. > Also, since Lojban's stress is penultimate, you don't need to explicitly > mark {tri}. > >> On Mon, Oct 31, 2011 at 4:28 PM, .arpis. wrote: >> How is {la ka trina} distinguishable from {la .kaTRIna.}? >> >> On Mon, Oct 31, 2011 at 6:18 PM, H.
