I still like the idea of a super generic title for those crazy cases (which I know personally can get convoluted) where I just want to say "cousin kevin" instead of "second cousin once removed kevin". English doesn't go as far generic as I wish it did sometimes and just have a "family" title (though it seems like "cousin" fills this gap in some families/usages) You're also probably right that ckini would be better.
