Not quite disagreeing, but I'm reminded of "The Universal Language= ", a play by David Ives, where approximately half the action takes pla= ce in a constructed (mostly nonsense) language that the audience did not kn= ow before the show.

That said, the more of it that is in Lojban, the better. Most foreign la= nguage teachers in my experience establish a "only this language is al= lowed in this class" rule. The comic's class should have that rule= as soon as the characters are able to say a complete bridie. Even one as s= imple as {mi pendo}.

There are two reasons for this. One, the more Lojban readers (and charac= ters) are exposed to the language the more quickly and easily they will acq= uire it. You do need to be careful not to do anything too complex, however.= Two, the less non-Lojban in the comic, the Leeds translating work needs to= done for non-English nintadni.
