If your name is John, you don't usually go around saying "Hi, my name is God-is-Gracious." People named David (or Muhammad for that matter) aren't known as "Beloved" or "Dear" in English. Which is not to say you can't use a translation if you want to; it's up to you how you choose to name yourself.
