That is, the tanru (x y) has (x & y) semantics. Examples : a white house, a black bird, a great escape The semantic of * operator is that it transforms a notion y into another notion z, through the action of some word x that acts as an arbitrary marker. For instance in English (White * House) is the place where the President of USA works, whereas (white & house) is just one house that happens to be of white color. In a similar fashion (black * bird) is a blackbird, while (black & bird) is a black bird, that is, a bird which is black.
