Just a little background on some of the back story. Aliens arrive in t= he solar system and need servents due to the condition of their vessel. The= y "harvest" humans to work for them. The aliens are basically biological co= mputers. They teach humans lojban. At a point later in the time line severa= l groups of humans are abandonned. Their cultures evolve independently, and= some become very dark and cruel. They still speak and write in lojban, eve= n though they have taken various turns in terms of cultural development.&nb= sp;The Sea Kings in particular honor certain behaviours that other cul= tures might find objectioable or worse. Slays Merchant is "one who kills a = merchant"

A mononymous culture is would be very dificult to deal with, once it r= eached a size above a small city state. Instead of treating the name noi/po= i cluases can it be treated as a series of mononyms in which order is key t= o exact meaning? This would be similar to Republican Period Latin wher= e an individual had three names, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_naming_conv= entions " a name for an aristocratic male citizen comprised three = parts (tria nomina): praenomen (given name), nomen (or <= B>nomen gentile or simply gentilicium, being the name of the = gens or = clan) and cognome= n (name of a family line within the gens). You'd have to translate it using a bunch of noi/poi clauses.

"la .lindar.grinuud." is valid, as are "la .kot.divuar."
and "la .misisipis.rirx.".
