There is some dispute over whether or not names keep some or any of the=20
meaning or if they are just strings of letters and nothing more.
Personally, I feel that there is at least a hint of meaning left, but=20
it's loose enough for it to allow all the freedom you want. Afterall,=20
names are just pronouns in a way, they refer to a particular person or=20
thing and it doesn't matter much what word you use to make that reference.
I would not like to be called "selprami", because I chose "selpa'i" also=20
for its sound and look, which I like very much. "selprami" appeals much=20
less to me. However, I think they both mean more or less the same thing.
