Unless, perhaps, someone can cite different existing cultures doing i= t
differently. But I don't think that's the case.

You don't seem to understand what culturally neutral means. If= there is no culture that does a certain thing differently than the other c= ultures, than us also doing it that way is /not/ culturally biased. In orde= r for it to be biased, it has to be something one (subset) of the various c= ultures do in this way.
