Actually, that is the 25th anniversary of the public announcement that= =20
we made at the Evecon science fiction convention, when it was still=20
called Loglan 88.  We started word-making the previous June (I'd h= ave to=20
look up the exact date), and we renamed the language "Lojban - A=20
Realization of Loglan" in summer 1988 at LogFest.

But I think the Jan 1988 date is as good a date as any to serve for=20
anniversary purposes.

I'm not sure what you are asking "How do I want it to happen?".  I= f you=20
are asking how the community plans to celebrate, I don't know that any= =20
specific plans have been made.  (I think I raised the question on = the=20
LLG Board a few months ago, and perhaps it was Robin that said some=20
people were discussing the matter).

Does the community want LLG to do something official?  If so, what= ?

The only thing I can think of would be an extra LogFest focused=20
specifically on the celebration, perhaps here in Fairfax (LogFest hasn'= t=20
been here for a decade or so), but I don't know if there is enough=20
interest (or whether Nora and I have the energy to plan things like we= =20
used to).   I guess someone could invent a 25th anniversary T shir= t=20
using Cafe Press or something similar.
