Alright, then, if that's "Event X begins during the time of Event = Y",
then how does IRC say "Event X happens at the beginning of Event Y&quo= t;?

"broda ca lo nu co'a brode"

Your haiku translates to:

"Starting in spring
flower buds will blossom,
and so comes beauty.

Your haiku means the same as:

ca lo vensa ku
lo xrula co'a banro
ja'e lo nunmle

In spring
flowers begin to grow
and so comes beauty.

(I had to change "cifxrula" to "xrula" to keep the syll= able count right)

Which is not bad either, but if you want "when spring begins", yo= u need a combination of "co'a" and "ca", either as = "ca lo nu co'a vensa cu broda" or as "ca lo vensa cu co&= #39;a broda". Of course this ruins your haiku's syllable count.

That second one is "at the time of spring, broda= begins", not "at the beginning of spring, broda happens", s= o it's still equivalent to the IRC interpretation of "co'a lo = vensa cu broda".
=A0
ca lo nu co'a vensa
cu banro fa lo xrula
ja'e lo nunmle

What's funny is, the first = line originally was {ca lo nu co'a vensa}, but I changed it to what it = is because of the syllable count.

As far as my haiku is concerned, t= he "old" interpretation and the "IRC" interpretation ar= e near enough in meaning that I don't really feel it needs changing, ho= wever: None of what you've said appears to account for the fact that I = used {ba banro}, not {cu banro}.

So how does the IRC interpretation deal with {ZAhO lo broda ku ... [cu]= ZAhO brode}?

Here's a possible fix, though it's already quite different from the= original, plus I really don't like the -cfa-:

lo nunvesycfa
cu jai co'a rulba'o
ja'e lo nunmle

I wouldn't call that a fix.= If anything, it's worse than the original, IMO.
