Oxford Dictionary says:
Verb is a word or group of words that expresses an action (such as  eat),=

an event (such as  happen) or a state (such as  exist).
Predicate is a part of a sentence containing a verb that makes a statement=
=20
about the subject of the verb, such as "went home" in "John went home".

So,
{Brivla} *is/are* verb(s). Not just *is* or *are* cuz {brivla} has not such=
=20
characteristic as quantity.

Lojban:
{bridi}: x1 (text) is a predicate relationship with relation x2 among=20
arguments (sequence/set) x3.

So, {selbri} is/are relation,
and {bridi} is/are predicate relationship, or just predicate plus x1-sumti=
=20
as shown in above dictionary entry.
