  Marvelous job (although I have yet to read it, just skimmed it a bit here
and there).  But as a fan of all the forty official Oz books (and many of
the noncanonical works,as well) I am curious as to your assertion that "
They always move their jaws around as if they were chewing".  Where does it
demonstrate that in the text?

   Here's a modest suggestion for their name -- macyckin(i)   .  Calls to
mind the falvor of the original, while having a relevant meaning, for
surely Dorothy marvels at their appearance (and they are in turned awed by
her).

  I see you have kept the original Denslow illustrations, even those that
have drop words and letters, which obviously don't jibe with the lojban.
 I'm curious.  Did the German edition do that as well?
