"Cuckoo", is obviously a bit harder, since the name is based on the sound they make, so I can't think of anything better than cipnrkuku off the top of my head. Pierre has a lot more experience with coming up with Lojban names for animals than I, so maybe he'll take a crack at it. I'd probably just go with the cmene {la.kukus.}, actually. And as for "Underware", I'm almost certain that's not referring to garments worn beneath pants or other below waist clothing, so that's a definite no.
