phpbb was the original host for the byfy when Nick was jatna, and was 
intentionally kept apart from the main lojban.org site, and I think 
preexisted the wiki or at least was independent of it (the wiki 
originally was distinguished from the "official" lojban web site and 
materials which were only modifiable by limited people with official 
approval).

I could be wrong, but I think all of the phpbb discussions were migrated 
over to the wiki along with almost everything else on the pre-wiki 
lojban.org site.  I don't know how to translate the links, though.
