Note that it'd be reasonable to create a converter between Lojban= and this new Loglan'2014 because there are a lot of texts in Lojban and si= nce both language have/will have a formal syntax you'd probably need to qui= ckly generate its own corpus of texts.

That's an interesting idea. We'll need to get past t= he first few phases of development first in order to know to what degree th= is will be possible.  But in so far as it is possible it would be a bi= g help.

To this end I = have started the Logos Initiative and Logla Prime (https://github.com/Logos= Initiative/logla).

The intent of this initiati= ve is to use a modern open source development model to build a new mainline= logical language --in part a reconciliation between Loglan and Lojban, and= via this model manage the evolution of that language. This is not somethin= g I have started lightly, but rather because I think it important. I think = the world needs a strongly evolving constructed and logical language. One t= hat continues to push the boundaries toward greater perfection in human com= munication.

I believe this new initiative will be = of actual benefit to Lojban and the LLG as it will free the LLG to focus on= the promotion of Lojban as a language of everyday communication rather tha= n worry with the heavy barrage of linguistic "tinkering".

The initiative is, obviously, in its earliest stages. At this point= , it needs the aid of committed and capable persons to chair the supervisor= y committee, expand the website, flesh out bylaws, and to the wider communi= ty of logical language enthusiasts, to submit proposals. Communication is f= acilitated via Github issues (https://github.com/L= ogosInitiative/logla/issues) and the Google Group (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/logla).
I hope this initiative is received in a positive light, even by= those that may feel a bit ruffled by it. In the end, it surely must be a m= ore constructive approach than continually arguing against changes to Lojba= n.
