I'm actually not sure if LS can put anything on the *cover* of a
cloth bound book, or just the spine, or what that looks like.

So my plan is to get a content-complete duplicate of the current
edition before making any changes, but ideally that edition would
never actually reach customers; it would be test prints only for
people who want to review it.  The next edition to actually be
available I would like to have those sections in it, but I'm not
offering to write them.
