You don't need a pause in {la selterpa xirma ponse}. (The original name= was=20
compressed, leading to the misleading translation "Man Afraid of his Ho= rses".)=20
You need a pause only after a cmevla, before a cmevla (in dotside), bef= ore a=20
word starting with a vowel, and in some cases of cmavo with 'y' in them= or=20
stressed on the last syllable.

From what I've read about Japanese phonetics,  /d=CA=92/ and /=CA= =92/ have fallen=20
together, as have /dz/ and /z/ (allophones of /d/ and /z/ before /i/ an= d /u/),=20
but /t=CA=83/ and /=CA=83/ and /ts/ and /s/ have not. They are still di= stinguished in=20
kana though.

Since this is a beginner's question, shouldn't it be on the beginners' = list?

Jews use a lunisolar calendar; Muslims use a solely lunar calendar.
