The Hindi numbers are all off by a factor of 10 (hazar=3D10^3, lax=3D10^5, = kyrod or=20 whatever=3D10^7, abadj=3D10^9, sanx=3D10^11). "Crore" is the English spelli= ng. In=20 Hindi, the first r is a normal tap r, but the second is some sort of rhotic= =20 which developed from a retroflex stop. In Gujarati it is still a stop. Hind= i=20 also has an aspirated version of this rhotic in "Garhwal". Pierre --=20 La sal en el mar es m=C3=A1s que en la sangre.
