Switching to different articles was a big deal at the= time more because we didn't politically know how to navigate changes to th= e language, rather than something about the change in particular. That part= icular change is extremely easy to ignore. Also there's other changes betwe= en the literary dialect you'll find in books and the way Lojban's spoken on= the street that are far more substantial. But of course you'll get a lot c= loser to being able to communicate with Lojbanists by reading those old tex= ts, as we all learned by reading those same books or by hearing echoes of t= hem, and you'll find that we not only riff off that style a lot but even ma= ke lots of specific reference to those texts.
