{no'i}   {la .ilmen.} said that a new selma'o might not be needed and that 
{xau / vau'u} could be rolled into selma'o UI; merely a marker saying "the 
following UI-clause applies to the whole sentence". This would allow {xau / 
vau'u} to be used even in the middle of a sentence... I don't think it'd be 
used that way often, but {au cu'i}.
