Simply put, systematically replace all syllabic consonants /S/ with /yS/. *la 
gocti* *no'u* *la cirko* ran some tests on the current JVS *zi'evla* list 
and found no word-boundary resolution problems. This would affect all 
*cibyfu'ivla* that used a syllabic consonant hyphen, although some *na'e 
cibyfu'ivla je zi'evla* would also be affected, like {iklki}

Expected advantages:

   - Many people have trouble distinguishing /S/ from /yS/, whether in 
   speaking or in hearing;
   - It prevents corner case problems of how certain strings of possible 
   syllabic consonants should be pronounced, e.g. {anlnda} = {an,ln,da} or 
   {a,nln,da}?
   - As a small side effect, the /l/ hyphen for *cibyfu'ivla* would no 
   longer be needed, as e.g. {ler,l,djamo} could be rendered {leryrdjamo} 
   instead. It might not be worth trying to systematically change existing 
   *cibyfu'ivla* this way though.

Expected disadvantages:

   - It would complicate *zi'evla* rules somewhat, as before they couldn't 
   contain /y/, but now, they can in a very specific context.
   - Syllabic consonants can't be consistently banned from *cmevla* as well 
   without also deciding to apply the multi-consonant syllabic coda ban to 
   them, which would be quite problematic to anyone whose name ends in a 
   consonant cluster.
