Good point; Lojban is also pretty flexible in allowing you to leave sumti 
empty. It's sometimes nice to have a virtual, generalized person to talk 
about though, and to refer to them with a pronoun that is somewhat 
"sticky". I now prefer using {lo'e prenu [goi py]} for that purpose though.
