I don't think there is. In my idiolect, which is a mix of different America=
n=20
dialects without the cot-caught merger, /o/ is diphthongized except before=
=20
/r/, /=C9=94/ is distinct, and /o/ and /=C9=92/ contrast except before /r/.=
 Rhotic=20
speakers may have trouble separating /o/ from following /r/. Non-rhotic=20
dialects do something different with /or/.
