What does that =E2=80=9Cunder conditions x3=E2=80=9D mean?

I've always tended to read it as an irrealis condition, like an =E2=80=9Cif=
=E2=80=9D=20
clause, which would render that slot more annoying than helpful in=20
practice (for example saying {ti ca binxo su'o tutci} would not mean=20
"this is becoming a tool" but rather "now, if some unspecified condition=20
is met, this becomes a tool").

However I've seen somebody else apparently interpreting it more like=20
something along the lines of =E2=80=9C=E2=80=A6 and this happens with circu=
mstances x3=20
being the case=E2=80=9D, i.e. the event of becoming does happen and the thi=
rd=20
slot merely adds some sort of circumstantial background, although it's=20
not clear what would be its exact relation with regard to the event of=20
becoming.

What was the original intent of the gismu creators when they added=20
=E2=80=9Cunder conditions=E2=80=9D slots?

What do you think would be the most appropriate meaning for these slots?

=E2=80=94mu'o mi'e la .ilmen.
