Apparently people don't listen to me when I'm merely giving advice, so I am no officially putting my foot down as Secretary. The LLG will publish a book under someone else's copyright only under two conditions: 1. We have explicit permission in writing from the copyright holder. 2. Over my rotting corpse. I assure you, neither condition applies to Le Petit Prince. Until one or the other does, please do not discuss the possibility of the LLG being *in* *any* *way* involved in this illegal[1] translation, *especially* not in the context of publishing it. Thank you. -Robin Lee Powell, Secretar/Treasurer, Logical Language Group, Inc. [1]: I don't care whether you agree with my opinions on the legal status of this work; it is my determination as Secretary and Parliamentarian that it is illegal, and that decision is final until and unless a copyright lawyer chooses to speak up on the subject[2]. The LLG's stance on this point is *NOT* being opened as a subject for debate. [2]: Or the President over-rules me, but don't hold your breath. Or, theoretically, the membership as a whole could over-rule me, but that is even less likely and in this case would lead to my immediate resignation. -- Me: http://www.digitalkingdom.org/~rlpowell/ *** I'm a *male* Robin.
