When I started writing the Lojban beginners' lessons, one of the comments that prompted me was a request for teaching materials which did _not_ have too many English grammatical terms in them (although a number crept in as I proceded). I think on the whole it's a good idea to avoid thinking in terms of English grammar as far as possible, as it can cause problems later on. Lojban does not have nouns, verbs etc., and I am convinced that our endless debates about Lojban articles are partly caused by the fact that we still think of them as articles. robin.tr -- "Don't be lucid and ironic; people will turn this against you to show that you aren't a nice person." - Albert Camus Robin Turner IDMYO Bilkent Universitesi Ankara 06533 Turkey www.bilkent.edu.tr/~robin
