Sounds great, and I was immediately thinking of ways to apply it. Currently, I have some sports score alerts sent to me by email, and I'm using procmail and some scripts to rewrite them a little (because I've got a TTS program that reads me the From and Subject line of incoming mail, I'm parsing them and making sure the vital information appears in the subject). So I started thinking of how I could translate them into Lojban. The tricky thing is, I haven't been able to come up with any good ways of saying what I want in Lojban. Ideally there'd be a single selbri that meant something like "In game x1, visitors x2 has score x3 and home team x4 has score x5 at time (inning, quarter, time remaining, whatever) x6" or something like that. Of course, that might be really complicated to work with, but... I've looked at things involving kelci, jivna, ni jinga, tcini, but I can't quite figure out a good way to put them together to get what I want. I realize that it will probably just come down to creating a lujvo and using it, but I wanted to get some suggestions. -- Adam Lopresto http://cec.wustl.edu/~adam/ Contempt: the feeling of a prudent man for an enemy who is too formidable to safely be opposed. --Ambrose Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary
