I think the number names are not so problematic for months (even though there are other calendars that don't start in January, but then the months lengths are also different, I believe). But for days of the week things are more confusing. Not everybody agrees which day is day 1. I believe Russian and Portuguese for example both use numbers for the names of the days, but they don't agree on where to start the count.
