There are languages -- and we could construct another -- in which Mr. Mr. was a natural way to do things, but Lojban isn't one of them (it also, for the same reason, is a lousy test for Sapir-Whorf on SAE speakers). Absorbing it into Lojban can probably be done, but the question is, Why bother? What does all this added complexity buy us? I get the impression that interest in getting Lojban right has declined somewhat severely, hopefully in favor of learning it well enough to use it in a variety of public ways.
