I'= m going to assume that the issues regarding translating from Hebrew & Greek -= > Latin -> English -> Lojban have already been discussed somewhere. But from a cultural standpoint, I wonder whether using a Christian translation of Jewish texts (Old Testament) is a good idea. There has alway= s been a tendency in some strains of Christianity to consider the Old Testament in light of the New Testament. Jews tend to be somewhere between bemused and offended by this tendency, since of course their scriptures are otherwise seen to stand on their own.
