"One m= ore pencil" and "some more nuts" here really mean "one = additional
pencil" and "some additional nuts", it's n= ot so much about how many pencils
or nuts are needed or wanted, it's about what things are needed or = wanted
in addition to the ones already had. In that case, what is requir= ed is a brivla
meaning something like "x1 is additional/extra/suppl= ementary to x2".
