Needless to say, I think it is one of our best issues yet. There are 90 pages total ($9 US/Canada $10.80 overseas), including 48 pages in the journal proper, John Cowan' milestone paper on the Lojban tense system, and the final revised version of the Diagrammed Summary of Lojban Grammar with Example Sentences, of which I put out a draft version several weeks ago. Lojban text include Nick's Aesop tales and John Cowan's translation from Hakka Chinese, both with annotated English translations for those who aren't sure of their Lojban skills. The Natural Language Processing Proposal we submitted to the US Defense agency DARPA is included, along with a sample showing how closely Lojban maps to Prolog, and the a couple of sample pages of the forthcoming proto-dictionary, so you can see] how pretty it looks. If you want the issue, you need to be on our JL mailing list, preferably with money in your balance or at least a promise of forthcoming, within the next week. This is the last issue available without a subscription. For those on our mailing list not getting JL, the shorter newsletter le lojbo karni will also be mailed out next week. It will also include the Diagrammed Summary, which is becoming the mainstay of our introductory package 0, and hence we want it available to as many budding Lojbanists as possible. I also expect that the 4 month backup of orders will be swiftly caught up at the time that JL is mailed. Those with orders will even get JL/LK a bit sooner, since yours will be mailed First Class (US only) instead of 3rd class bulk rate. lojbab
