This retuning is, of course, preparatory for the proto-dictionary, and the first baseline of the rafsi list (we haven't changed much, but we explicitly never baselined it). My intention is to post the results of the tuning (i.e. changes that seem good, plausible, questionable, and impossible-due-to-history) for discussion, with formal baselining taking place as of August LogFest. THus far, there have not been many changes at all, and the ones tyat seem most likely are truly noise level. There are a couple worth some discussion, and one that probably is ruled out by excessive historical usage of the current rafsi assignment. I hope to have results on the List this week. I'm hopefully shipping Mark the working gismu list for posting to PLS on Manday or Tuesday. I've got more work to do, but the set of changes already identified has finally been completed. I will need comments if possible by LogFest (August 15), or as soon as possible thereafter (since Mark and Ivan may be away for much of the time till then, I'll do my best to be flexible.)
