Perhaps mixed for Lojban. It appears that they have found a sibling pair for us to adopt from Russia in record time (I called to tell them the paperwork was nearly done Tuesday, after which they told me it might take 6 more months. They called back an hour later.) As such, if we decide to go through with this (and we have thought of no reason not to do so), I will be travelling to Russia sometime in mid-September, and return 3 weeks later with a 5 year old son Avgust and a 6 year old daughter Andzhela. Because of the short time, I am going into intensive Russian cram mode, though I will try to take enough time to get JL put together or mostly so, so it isn't delayed this time. I will finish the rafsi review. I will read mail, but be trying NOT to answer too much of it. I will try to fill all outstanding orders. This is probably more than I have time for, so I make no further promises. I will probably take word lists and the like to review for the book should I get bored, but I somehow rather doubt that I'll have much spare time. With any luck, I will be able to promote Lojban a little bit while in Russia. It looks like I will be in Novgorod for a week until the adoption is decreed, and Moscow with kids for around 2 weeks working on exit visas. Depending on how I work the flights, I may get to stop through London for a day each way. John Cowan will be reading my incoming mail to handle emergencies while I'm gone, but requests and orders will obviously be delayed for a few months. ATTENTION UK lojbo With coordination, I may be able to meet some of the UK Lojbanists, if you can get to me, preferably on the way over since I don't know how the kids will be taking the trip until we are actually en route, and may not have much control over my departure date and resultant coordination problems. I will leave it to any of the UK Lojbanists to let me know what you are interested in doing, and I'll try to flex my schedule to fit. ATTENTION CREDIT CARD CUSTOMERS A reminder primarily to overseas people is that we are not promising to be able to accept Visa and Master Card payment after 31 October or thereabouts, so if you are considering a balance contribution by that method, please don't put it off. lojbab
