Some news for my friends:

I have now obtained my MA in Peace Studies, and will shortly be going on
to begin a PhD in the same area (specifically, the Psychology of
Conflict). Having not obtained funding for this, I shall be doing it
part time; I am also about to be appointed a Research Assistant in the
Computer Science department here at Bradford, working on a European
project to do with making information in libraries more accessible to
the blind and partially sighted. This will be 2/3 time, which fits in
with my plans wonderfully.

Being no longer quite so impoverished, I am moving out of the pest-hole
I have been living in for the last year.  From December 15 my address
will be

However, this will be only for a month or so (though mail to that
address will be forwarded thereafter). 

I expect to be in Watford over Christmas, in Glasgow over New Year, and
Jersey over Easter, and will doubtless see some of the people who
receive this mail at some of those occasions. I will also no doubt visit
Cambridge sometime in the Spring.
