JL goes fine, but I still have a few more days work to do - still haven't
tackled Ivan's story (that is for today).

If you don't want the black text to go in, can you at least summarize
what if anything in it you wish added to the lore of the coffeebar.  After
all, we are still in the English phase at this stage anyway, so ideas
expressed in English are quite acceptable.  I presume that, for example, you
approve of Veijo's character "la xiron."  There has never been any public 
comment on either Xiron., or David Bowen's character.

I have some 90 pages prepared for the combined jl17 and jl18 (i'm working
on both at once so that I don't have to pause dictionary work in 2 months
to get the next issue out).  

Got your Christmas card and another postcard.  Correspondence is much 
appreciated, though I have trouble reading your handwriting.  Alas, Lojban
does not seem robust enough at this stage for non-fluent readers to
error correct when they cannot read something.  But I think I got the gist
]of what you said (though the comment about Cowan seemed unclear: did you
WANT or NOT WANT me to provide the text of the card to him???)
