The trade-off in money saved is significant, but I would rather be sure that people are getting stuff promptly, and it is no big deal for me to add another dozen to the people I package up each issue for. This also means that I know that new people will get packages promptly, which Major hasn't always been able to do (but then, I haven't always been that great either, but at least I know in my records that someone hasn't gotten a package). It may be that local distribution is an idea whose time has not quite yet come, until we have more people who are willing to help by paying the distributor. I'm sure that is at least part of the reason why Major is considering this a bit too much of an onus right now. We'll be dropping a lot of the non-responding level 0's after the books come out, and things may work out better at that point. lojbab
