The question is Are there any languages other than English that are being studied for NLP? Are there any languages that are 'better' for NLP, and what metric would one use to decide. If you aren't reading, i suggest that you pick up the thread, and respond, which you can do faster than I can (and I shouldn't abot getting going on the dictionary the first day). I was originally tempted to do a quick reply to the requester in private, but the question has prompted a bit of discussion, and some possibly relevant items we could use in a more general discussion. besides - we're adding new people at 1 a day or more the last week or two - might as well go while we are hot! Summer, when people don't have school distractions, may be a time when people will lok at us more closely. lojbab
