For my own reading I always decode bai into fi'o before trying to understand text. Likewise I first expand lujvo, i.e. diktanru -> dikni-tanru selgadri -> se-gadri Heavy cmavo use also makes text unreadable to me. So far the only way I get to read lojban text is to write it.
