Someone, perhaps you, gave me data at some point that suggested that Zamenhof's making public domain the new Esperanto might have been a response to the Volapu:k ownership disputes with Schleyer. Harlow now says that the latter took place morelike 1888-9, which is NOT what I remember. But all of my sources were heresay, mostly from you and Don if I recall. lojbab
