Here it is for those like myself who find their lack of computer skills a problem learning lojban. First the cmavo and gismu definitions are downloaded from ra.cs.yale.edu. into your home directory. The example sentence is "mi tcidu le do se mrilu" by Bruc Mardle. Enter the following command without the outermost brackets to see a main definition of each of the words in the sentence: & [!egrep '^mi |^tcidu |^le |^do |^se |^mrilu ' gismu cmavo] This is from the mail prompt "&". The spacing is really critical. There must be no space after the "|". Some space after each word sought helps select the main definition. The "^" positions the search at the left margin where the main definitins start. "gismu" and "cmavo" are the names of the files which contain the same. ~? q
