However, a very minor modification of the grammar would be required to make a new class of afterthought modal connections possible. Replacing 'ek' with '(ek|GI)' in suitable places of the sumti rules in the EBNF grammar would give us the following parseable form (2) mi nelci ti gi semaubo ta which shouldn't break anything else.
