{terjoe} can be more than a small area, {ve'i}.  Based on Lojbab's
recent huge and wonderful dictionary, the answer is yes.  Here is the
entry (automatically formatted for 80 columns):

The entry does not say anything about the size of the common locus or
juncture, so there is no reason to suppose it must be small with
respect to the items joined.
